Sydney

Sydney Campus

Located on the grounds of the Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAH), nursing student accommodation is provided by Adventist HealthCare Limited on behalf of Avondale. Living on-campus means that you can enjoy the convenience of everything being just a few minutes walk from your room – classes, cafeteria, gym, sporting facilities and social gatherings.

Living on-campus provides a great social environment, giving you the opportunity to meet lots of new people and make friends from all over Australia and the world. It also provides you with a great study support network, as you are living with people who are going through the same experiences as you.

Housed within the one building, the gender specific female and male residences house up to 240 boarders. Student rooms are all single occupancy with use of shared facilities.

Age restrictions are applied to applicants, with a minimum acceptable age of 18 years of age. Applicants under the age of 18 years are advised to attend the Lake Macquarie campus for their first year of study.

Residential accommodation

Applications are processed within the requirements of the Avondale Student Application Package. The Avondale Student Application Package provides you with a step-by-step guide on how and when to apply for accommodation, the Application Form, general information regarding the SAH Residence and the current Schedule of Fees.

Unlike the Lake Macquarie campus, you are not required to move out of your residential room at the end of each semester or during vacation periods. Many students continuously occupy their room for the total years of study and then into a New Graduate Nursing Program. Student accommodation is charged on a six monthly residential semester basis. Students are liable for the full residential Semester Rate regardless of check-in or departure dates. Refunds and/or liabilities for accommodation change at withdrawal from the course (refund policies apply) or from 1 January following the year of Graduation.
