Spiritual Life


Each week, all students and staff on the Lake Macquarie campus are invited to attend a one- hour forum that is devotional, community building and informative. Speakers have included Sam Clear, a young person who walked 16,500 kilometres for world unity, Leisl Tesch para- Olympic gold medallist, and activist Glen Gerreyn.

Festival of Faith

Each semester, Avondale hosts the Festival of Faith. With powerful and inspirational speakers from around the world, these week-long events give you the opportunity to make powerful and life-changing decisions towards Christianity and have a deeper personal relationship with Christ.

Residence Hall Worships

Worships are provided in the women’s and men’s residence halls through small cell groups, combined worships and featured speakers.


Each Friday evening during semester, Avondale’s Chaplain runs a youth church called 7:28. This contemporary service averages over four hundred Avondale students and community youth.

Avondale College Church

Avondale College Church provides a focal point for the spiritual life on campus. With a vision of “Worship, Love, Learn, Serve,” the church aims to provide students with a church experience that is as enriching and relevant as possible.

Regeneration Youth Church

Regen is a College Church program initiated by a group of young adults with a vision for connecting spiritually with people of their generation who do not usually attend church. The program motivates participants to develop a relationship with Jesus and become involved in the church community, Regen run many community initiatives including Cranked, an initiative that reaches out to non Christian high school students from troubled homes through the use of Mountain bike riding.
