The ABA has run continuously for many years. In most years, almost a third of the student population participates in basketball’s social competition, from A-grade higher skilled players through to D-grade beginners. Basketball gives all students an opportunity to compete socially but also to be challenged and motivated. The ABA is by far Avondale’s biggest sporting club. Training and try-outs are also available for students wishing to represent the Avondale Eagles in both a mens and womens' basketball team at Eastern University Games each year.www.avondalebasketball.net

Soccer has been played at Avondale over the last few years in the indoor auditorium facility and has recently moved outdoor on our revamped field.
