The Adventist Heritage Centre

The Adventist Heritage Centre contains books, serials, magazines, photographs, artefacts and much more that are preserved, exhibited and used for research. Located on the Lake Macquarie campus, the Centre works with Avondale to develop an understanding and appreciation for the heritage of the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist.

Adventist Media Network (AMN)

The AMN serves the communication and media needs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, including Avondale. Through working with Avondale, it continues to pursue its mission of sharing the Gospel by promoting Christian education. AMN also supports Avondale by sponsoring an Award of Excellence in Electronic Media, valued at $1000.

Australasian Research Institute (ARI)

The ARI is a centre from which research is conducted, facilitated and promoted in the broad context of Adventist Christian service to the community. It aims to be an integrated multidisciplinary research centre that coordinates and conducts innovative and developmental activities generally involving wide collaboration with a focus on human benefits. It operates from the Faculty of Nursing and Health at Avondale’s Sydney campus, and its corporate members include the Sydney Adventist Hospital Ltd., Avondale College Ltd., and the Australian Health and Nutrition Association Ltd.

Avondale Foundation

Avondale Foundation is a non-for profit organisation that supports Avondale College. It has contributed almost $6 million of financial assistance to building restorations, the construction of new buildings including accommodation for married students, student scholarships, transport facilities and much more. The Foundation works with Avondale to ensure that support is given where it is most needed and where it will offer the greatest benefit.

College Church

College Church is the spiritual centre at Avondale. It offers student driven worships, outreach programs such as One Mission and Stormco, both conservative and contemporary services such as First Church and Regen, and gives 1st year theology students practical experience. It also presents the Festival of Faith once a semester, giving an invited speaker the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the students while also allowing students to take their faith to the next level.

The Ellen White Research Centre

Located on Avondale’s Lake Macquarie campus, The Ellen G White Research Centre is dedicated to understanding Ellen G. White’s life and ministry as well as the divine gift of prophecy. It houses periodicals, letters and manuscripts, articles, microfilm and microfiche of early Adventist periodicals and the history of pioneers, which gives both students and the wider community the opportunity to delve into the core of Adventist history while evaluating its ongoing relevance.

The Institute of Worship

Based on Avondale’s Lake Macquarie campus, the Institute of Worship’s ministry is in providing training in worship. It offers an understanding of different worship cultures and runs programs from local churches to those overseas in the South Pacific Division. A producer of resources from which worship can be implemented, the Institute is an integral part of Avondale’s spiritual life.

The Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAH)

The SAH is one of the largest private hospitals in Australia. It partners with Avondale in offering a variety facilities for students studying the Bachelor of Nursing. Nursing students work closely with the SAH, from which they acquire essential practical experience in a professional environment.
