STUDENT SERVICES
ASSEMBLY/FORUM
Attendance at assemblies and forums on the Lake Macquarie campus is compulsory because this is the only opportunity for all students to meet each week. However, you can request exemptions from assemblies and forums for first semester if you:
. Study part-time (that is, equivalent to or less than half a full academic load)
. Study as a day student and do not have classes on Wednesdays, or your first class on Wednesdays begins after 1 pm
. Work and cannot make other arrangements
Requests for exemption need to be in writing and addressed to the student services director. Avoid unnecessary fines by requesting exemptions early in the semester. You will receive a letter from the student services director advising of the status of your request.
