Students who enjoy singing, socialising and serving in the community should consider joining the Contemporary Choir.
The choir, which performed this past month during Festival of Faith and at Avondale College Seventh-day Adventist Church on April 5, is seeking to become more involved in worship services on the Lake Macquarie campus. It is also striving to expand its ministry beyond the campus, with plans to visit schools to lead a variety of worship services.
Leaders Raymond Moaga and Chantal Heise say they want to encourage students to get involved. "The choir is a ministry, in fact, it's the best place to minister," says Ray. "It's so much fun, too."
The choir practices in the church on Mondays at 7 pm. All are welcome.
