GRADES: SEMESTER TWO
The new student management system, Callista, will allow students to view their grades online through Student Connect (launched today). It is expected grades will be available for viewing by Monday, December 22. Because students can view their grades online, the Academic Office will not automatically post grade reports to students. If you cannot view your grades online and require the Academic Office to post your grades to you, lodge a request with the Academic Office by Tuesday, December 23.

Where relevant, the Academic Office will post to your correspondence (postal) address letters relating to any specific grades, enrolment or study details that apply to your particular case for 2008 and 2009. These usually relate to your academic progression. Ensure you update your correspondence address in Student Connect to your vacation address if it is different from your correspondence address.

DR MICHAEL CAMPBELL
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15
Dr Michael Campbell will speak twice at Avondale College on Saturday, November 15 (see "Calendar" for times, venues and topics). He studied "The 1919 Bible Conference and its significance for Seventh-day Adventist history and theology" for his PhD. The conference was set in a watershed era for North American Christianity and was an epochal event for Adventists, coming as it did after the death of Ellen G White (1827-1915). Michael's supervisors included Drs Jerry Moon, Gary Land and George Knight. His pioneering research offers a mature understanding of an event that has been a focus of persistent controversy. Sponsored by Avondale College, Avondale College Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Ellen G White/SDA Research Centre.
