Meet the artists
20 May 2008
Avondale College visual communicators received a morale boosting message during an excursion to four Central Coast studios this past week (May 13): making a living from art is possible. The students, all enrolled in studio subjects, also received a rare look at work in progress while visiting painter and printmaker Nigel Gillings, beach and landscapes artist Paul Haggith, sculptor Jamie Sargeant, who has created stone carvings for The National Gallery in London, and surrealist painter Mike Worral (pictured with the students), who helped design sets for The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
