Caption: Chaplain Dr Wayne French offers a prayer of dedication for The Promise and its director Dr Robb Dennis. The ceremony marks the beginning of the performance year for the group, one of the five musical ensembles associated with Avondale College. The Avondale Brass Band, Avondale Orchestra, Avondale Singers, Avondale Wind Ensemble, The Promise and music students will present more than 50 performances as part of a newly branded Fine Arts Series this year. The series includes: Chamber Artists, such as Recitals in the Rotunda; Evensong; and Master Works-five free concerts in Avondale College Seventh-day Adventist Church, one featuring the Albuquerque Youth Symphony Orchestra and one National Australia Brass, conducted by alumnus Dr David King.
