An electrical fire at Sydney Adventist Hospital closed Avondale College's Faculty of Nursing and Health for more than three days this past week.
The fire began in a switchboard a floor above Lecture Room 3 at about 4.30 pm on Thursday.
An evacuation of the building affected classes--level-five students took equipment outside to continue their clinical assessment. The faculty cancelled level-one classes and re-scheduled the clinical assessment on Friday.
Level-three students, who are currently completing their clinical, helped evacuate patients in the hospital.
The faculty re-opened Monday morning with no damage to property.
