Seats fill for faith festival

Caption: The main floor of Avondale College Seventh-day Adventist Church filled almost to capacity on Monday morning as students, staff members and members of the community gathered for the opening of Festival of Faith II. The number attending surprised coordinators Imogen Menzies and Daniella Brown. "The turnout amazed me," said Imogen. The creativity of the "Not-another-reality-TV-show!" theme impressed speaker Pastor Ron Halverson Jr, senior minister of College View Adventist Church at Union College (Lincoln, Nebraska, USA). "I always enjoy worshipping down here in Australia," he said. "There's a lot of life and vibrancy." Bachelor of Arts student Daniel Laredo agreed. "It looks like [Festival of Faith] is going to be a good week," he said.
