Caption: Students living on Avondale College's Lake Macquarie campus received a taste of the "Wild Wild West" during the annual Res Banquet on Sunday evening. Students ate their meal in the cafeteria, plastered with wanted signs to complement the theme. Neil Bustos and Chris Starrett, two of Watson Hall's residence assistants, hosted. Staff members served the students, a Res Banquet tradition and one the students enjoy. "The tables are turned and instead of us doing work for them, they're waiting on us!" says Rebekah Behan, a third-year Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching student. Student Services cancelled the banquet this past semester-it is usually in the first half of the academic year-because of a lack of interest. However, the residence directors and assistants decided to organise the banquet this semester because "it brings us together," says women's residence director Deirdre Hough.
