An Avondale College Bachelor of Arts (visual communication) student has an exhibition of her photography on display in a Central Coast restaurant.
Ashlea Schur (pictured) produced a series of photographs for her Studio II class. Assessment required an exhibition, an opportunity for which came after a cancellation at the Shorethyme Restaurant. "It feels good to get some work out there," says Ashlea.
Her photographs use movement and extended exposure to transform everyday subjects into "emotionally charged tapestries of light and colour." This is according to her lecturer, Dr Richard Morris, who describes the exhibition as "a testimony to Ashlea's photographic ingenuity and artistic commitment. [It] will not disappoint the lover of beauty."
The exhibition is at Shorethyme (9 Mitchell St, Norah Head) until Monday (November 16).
