BUSINESS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
TWO LECTURERS, THREE PAPERS, ONE CONFERENCE
Lyn Daff and Dr Keith Howson from the Faculty of Business and Information Technology featured as speakers at this year's Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand Conference in Adelaide. Keith, the dean of the faculty, presented two papers, "The Generation Y disconnect: using problem-based learning to bridge the gap," co-written by Jill Phillips from Southern Cross University, and "Board structure and accountability: a not-for-profit governance perspective," co-written by Dr Lisa Barnes from the University of Newcastle. Lyn, a senior lecturer, presented one paper, "What accountants can learn from the training of doctors."-Nicole Dennis
NURSING AND HEALTH: ANDERSON IN INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL
International journal Brain Injury publishes an article by Dr Malcolm Anderson, a senior lecturer and the research development coordinator in Avondale College's Faculty of Nursing and Health, this month (November). Other authors of "Differential pathways of psychological distress in spouses versus parents of people with severe traumatic brain injury: multi-group analysis" include Malcolm's colleague Tamera Gosling and Dr Peter Morey from the Faculty of Business and Information Technology. Malcolm is researching with collaborators from the Brain Injury Unit at Liverpool Health Service and the Centre for Assessment Research and Development at The Hong Kong Institute of Education.-Administration and Research News
