Science@Avondale DVD in every Adventist school

24 October 2007

Every Seventh-day Adventist high school in Australia has received a free DVD promoting the study of science at Avondale College. All prospective science students will also receive the DVD when they enquire.

The DVD, produced by Andrew Johnson of Beyond Music, includes interviews with three science graduates who are now researching, teaching or working in the industry. Lectures in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics and psychology presented by Avondale staff members to help students prepare for their final-year exams are also included.

You may even see non-science students on the DVD. This does not worry dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics Dr Lynden Rogers, who is reported to have said he would make a science student of anyone. According to Lynden, all graduates and students on the DVD participated enthusiastically, which he appreciated.

Contact Lynden if you know of any school leaver who is interested in studying science at Avondale, and he will ensure the student receives a copy of the DVD.
