Description
This subject provides an introduction to ecology focusing on the interaction of organisms with their biotic and abiotic environment. The understanding of populations communities ecosystems life history strategies biogeography and conservation is given special consideration. Particular emphasis is given to aquatic ecosystems. Scientific communication and writing skills are developed in an ecological context. Statistical techniques used in ecological studies are also explored.
