Description
This subject introduces the student to the study of microorganisms. Attention is given to the history scope and application of microbiology. The significant features of the microbial world including the growth cultivation and control of microorganisms will be examined. The immunological response of the host to microorganisms is investigated. The role of microorganisms in the food industry and biotechnological applications of microorganisms in industry are explored.
