CE250 :: INTEGRATED & EMERGENT CURRIC. - BIBLE & HSIE



Description


This subject provides a study of basic Biblical principles that enable young children to know God and experience a relationship with Him. It will incorporate the principles that guide the development of Biblical worldviews. Factors that establish and promote the integration of ‘Special Character in early childhood environments and specifically in HSIE experiences will be explored. A variety of teaching and learning strategies will be considered. Teachers will explore and critique selected Bible and HSIE Curriculum documents to plan appropriate learning experiences for young children. The value of play in the Bible and HSIE curriculum will be explored. The impact of developmental stages (0–2 3–5 and 5–8 year olds) on learning in this subject will be emphasised and applied during in-semester teaching and observations.
