GE180 :: ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
Description
This subject deals with humans relationships with and role in the physical environment and includes an examination of issues such as forest clearance land degradation biodiversity loss and pollution of waters and atmosphere including acid precipitation ozone depletion and the enhanced greenhouse effect. The links between economic development and environmental impacts are investigated together with economic approaches to environmental preservation and conservation.
