Description
This subject provides a general introduction to the Bible in its social and historical context and how it is studied in an academic context. Its main focus is on the study of the Gospels of Matthew and Mark as witnesses to the person life and teaching of Jesus Christ and to the earliest churchs faith in Him. While the emphasis of the course is on the exegesis of the Gospels attention is also given to issues of introduction historical background and theology.
