Description


This subject introduces teacher education students to issues underpinning the role of education in contemporary society. Current research into effective teaching will be described in the context of national and international directions in education. This subject also provides knowledge and practice of some of the basic skills used in classroom teaching. The subject involves the student in observation of actual teaching and participation in micro-teaching. This subject is also designed to provide opportunities for career choice testing with a two week Professional Experience component.
