VC123 :: PHOTOGRAPHY AND SCULPTURE



Description


There are two modules in this subject of equal weighting. Both must be passed in order to be awarded a successful grade in this subject.

Module 1 Photography is investigated as an expressive form of visual arts and graphic design practice. Special emphasis is given to pre- and post-camera manipulation as a means of exploring ideas themes and issues through black and white photography.

Module 2 Sculpture is an investigation of conventions and techniques associated with aerated concrete carving and lost wax investment casting. Themes and subject matter will be determined by the student in consultation with the lecturer.
