BL165 and BL166 - New Testament Greek 1A and 1B

New Testament Greek 1A and 1B are designed to provide you with enough grammar and syntax so that you will be able to translate relatively freely from the Gospel of John. The first subject, NT Greek 1A, will take you about half way to that goal. By the end of it you will have met the present and aorist tense for the indicative, infinitive and subjunctive moods of the verb, and most of the noun types. Furthermore, by the end of this subject you will have translated John 1:1-11 and many other single verses from the Greek New Testament.

EN223 - The Bible as Literature

This subject begins by looking at the Bible from the perspective of literature rather than theology. A literary approach enriches our understanding of the Bible, and makes familiar texts fresh. Asking questions about literary style is also a key to a sound theological interpretation of the Bible. The Bible as Literature looks at the context for Bible writing, then explores the characteristics and messages of five major Bible genres: narrative, poetry, gospel, rhetoric and apocalyptic.
