Anthony Jensen
Anthony Jensen has a Bachelor of Ceramic Design from Monash University. Following graduation he worked with ceramic artist Ted Secombe for three years before choosing to become a teacher. Anthony is regarded as one of Australia’s leading young ceramicists. He chose the Bachelor of Teaching at Avondale College because Avondale is a Christian institution. He has found his studies at Avondale both challenging and enjoyable. He says that the learning environment ‘is different from that of a university. It is more personal with greater access to staff and more direct access to facilities. It is a great rounding-off experience.’ Anthony plans to eventually complete postgraduate studies and teach at tertiary level.
Levi Tsanov
Levi Tsanov graduated with a BSc from Southern Cross University and after a year in the workforce as an Ecology Officer, decided on a teaching career. He chose Avondale’s Bachelor of Teaching program. He says of the course, ‘It is very thorough. I have had personal and collegial contact with teaching professionals.
