Step 3 - Check for special requirements related to some courses

Unique Student Identifier

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) has been introduced by the Australian Government and from 1 January 2015 all students who are undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This includes students studying at TAFE or with a private Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider such as Avondale College of Higher Education.

The USI is a number which will allow you online access to your training records and results (transcript) through your own USI account. This USI will stay with you for life and be recorded by any provider with which you enrol to study a nationally recognised VET course.

How to get your USI

It is free and easy for you to create your own USI online at www.usi.gov.au
Please ensure that you have the required documentation to obtain a USI prior to preceeding: see http://www.usi.gov.au/create-your-USI/Pages/default.aspx

Avondale College of Higher Education requires you to provide your USI. This can be done easily by logging into Student Connect and entering the USI. If you need assistance with Student Connect please email; callista.support@avondale.edu.au or Phone: 02 4980 2246.
Please submit your USI by logging into Student Connect by going to the Menu item 'VET USI' in the 'Personal Details' section.
