Food Services and Cafeteria

The cafeteria complex provides the food service facilities for the Lake Macquarie campus. An excellent array of food is served buffet style for students, staff and campus visitors. The cafeteria provides a meat-free food service with world-class vegetarian cuisine. Breakfast generally consists of an assortment of cereals and hot foods. Lunch and tea (dinner) consists of hot food, salads and sweets. Drinks, bread, fruit and ice-creams are available at any meal.

Residential students are required to purchase a certain amount of meals per semester. This is credited to their Smart Card at the beginning of each semester (this is included in residential student's fees). Students then use their card to purchase meals throughout the semester. Once this credit is used up, further credit may be purchased from the cashier. Credit not used at the end of each semester is forfeited. Non-residential students and guests simply pay at the cafeteria cashier.

For more information on cafeteria prices refer to the Avondale financial pages.

The cafeteria is a great meeting place on campus and a popular venue for announcements and special functions. Student work is available throughout semesters. Contact the Food Services Director for further information.
