Twelve months membership of ACHPER (Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation) is provided to an eligible graduating student based on academic excellence as well as professional interest and aptitude demonstrated by the student.

Alan & Yvonne Thrift Perpetual Shield for Musical Excellence
A shield and $500 is awarded to a student in the third or higher year of a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business, or Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching degree, with a major in music. The shield is awarded on the basis of ensemble performance and involvement and leadership in the musical activities of Avondale College, in addition to good academic grades in music units taken at Avondale College.
Art Acquisition for the Avondale College Art Collection
Avondale College annually purchases one work of art to the value of $500 by a graduating Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching student, which is added to the Avondale College Art Collection.
Arthur Ferch Prize for Hebrew Studies
Sponsored by the Carole Ferch-Johnson family, awarded to a second year Theology student who scores highest in first semester Hebrew and second semester Old Testament studies where Hebrew is applied, worth $1,000.

A prize of $1000 sponsored by the South Pacific Division of Seventh-day Adventists may be granted each year to a graduating Early Childhood Education student who has demonstrated outstanding teaching ability, professionalism and good citizenship.

Edna Ferris Heise Prize for Excellence in Communication
A prize of $1000, sponsored by the The Edna Ferris Heise Memorial Trust Fund, is given to a female theology student in the second half of her course who demonstrates excellence in written and/or verbal communication, interpersonal skills and service activities. The prize is in honour of the life and work of Edna Ferris Heise in memory of her outstanding contribution to preaching, writing and speaking, and her passion for the ministry of gospel communication.
Elwin Currow Prize for New Testament Apocalyptic
A prize of $100 awarded to the top ranking student in New Testament Apocalyptic studies.
