Welcome from the Vice-President (Learning & Teaching).

Avondale's mission is to foster a Christian learning community that is founded on quality research-based higher education and prepare students for lives of service. This Office supports Avondale's mission by enhancing and promoting excellent learning and teaching practice.
The Vice-President (Learning & Teaching) works with learning and teaching leaders at Avondale to ensure that good practice in learning and teaching is transformed into long-term improvements in practice and policy. This senior role is integral to the provision of programs and support for Avondale academics and professional staff to develop, recognise and reward good teaching and leadership practice. The role also includes consulting and collaborating with students, government agencies, industry bodies, professional associations and organisations with a similar or complimentary mission to develop and deliver Avondale's programs and policy.
The goals of the Office of the Vice-President (Learning & Teaching) include
- taking a leadership role in setting the policy direction in learning and teaching
- identifying, supporting and disseminating innovations in learning and teaching
- developing current and future leaders in learning and teaching
- recognising quality teaching practice and outstanding contributions to student learning.
