Student Evaluation Questionnaire (SEQ)
The
Student Evaluation Questionnaire (SEQ) is Avondale's evaluation system designed to enable lecturers to evaluate and reflect on their teaching practice. The SEQ includes a student feedback instrument and a standard process for collecting feedback, processing the information, and reporting results to individual academic staff. The purpose of SEQ is to:
- encourage and support reflective practice among academic staff
- assist in the improvement of learning and teaching at Avondale and inform efforts to improve Avondale courses, and
- gather evidence that may be used to demonstrate quality teaching.
When is Student Feedback on Teaching conducted?
All academic staff are encouraged to collect and respond to student feedback on teaching. The SEQ can be conducted at any time throughout each teaching period, although most feedback is sought in the final weeks of the relevant teaching period.
