Tutoring Services

Both on-campus and distance students have access to academic tutoring services located on both the Lake Macquarie and Sydney Campuses. Students requiring literacy, numeracy, essay writing and referencing tuition can access this tutoring support by visiting the tutor on their respective campus.

Want to improve your essay writing skills? This essay feedback form will help you reflect on the various aspects of essay writing. Your tutor will also use this to provide you specific feedback.

Lake Macquarie Campus

Tutoring is available for Lake Macquarie Campus students in the Dyson-Williams Study Room on the upper level of the Library. There are three tutors who are able to help students with all stages of their assignments. This includes helping the student to decipher an assignment topic and come up with an approach to the topic, and to locate appropriate resources. Help is also offered with referencing issues and tutors will also look over an assignment draft and comment on its structure/focus/referencing/expression/etc., and suggest how the student might resolve any problems. Tutors are also there to support any academic problem, to help resolve the problem. If the tutors cannot assist they can suggest someone who can. If the office is unattended, please leave your assignments in the boxes provided.

Students may also request tutoring help by emailing the tutors.
