Fitlife expands for business

22 January 2009

Avondale College fitness centre, Fitlife, has been making changes. Their business is booming and they are in need of more space. Taking advantage of previously unused space on the Avondale College Lake Macquarie campus, they are making room for a group fitness room, a new free weight room, and a special room for Spin Class.

"We want to paint the Spin classroom black and add some lights," says Fitlife manager, Levi Martin.

"We are too cramped in our current space. With more space we can cater for more members of the community. We already have the demand; now we are working on the space," says Levi.

Fitlife opened in May 2008 with a swimming pool, weight room, and cardio room. They began several fitness sessions including boxing, aerobic related classes, and personal training. Since their opening, they have gained over 500 members from staff, students, and the local community.

The renovations will be completed in time for the new semester in March 2009.
