Here they come: student offers, acceptances up

Avondale College has increased the number of offers made to prospective students this year (up from 385 in 2009 to 429 as of February 8).
This means the number
of acceptances has increased, too (216 to 319).
The reason for the increases? No one can say for sure, but director of advancement Lorin Bradford, registrar Gwen Wilkinson and Enquiry and Enrolment Centre team leader Sharon Turner name these as there top three:
. More Commonwealth-supported places--from 625 in 2009 to 688 this year
. Better use of Callista--the student management system launched in late 2008, so staff have had another year to master it
. More effective marketing--the new corporate image, the Find Your Inspiration campaign and the seven five-star ratings in The Good Universities Guide 2010 reinforce a quality Christian education message.
