Research: Ongoing research interests are in school learning environments, perception/opinion rating surveys using quantitative and qualitative data, gender Issues in mathematics education, international student issues in the classroom, streaming in secondary schools, mathematics students and teachers' beliefs and attitudes.

Current projects include succession planning in Adventist Schools, transitioning from secondary teaching tertiary teaching, home-schooling, mentoring in secondary schools, the factors effecting a Christian teacher's ability to impact students' spirituality
