Mr Paul Bogacs
|School:||School of Humanities and Creative Arts
|Qualifications:||BA (Avondale); MSc (Loma Linda University)|
|Research:||Emotional health, church communities and their emotional health, marriage and family therapy|
|About:||Paul Bogacs is currently pursuing a PhD on the relationship between faith, spirituality and mental health. His research so far shows that the Bible contains emotionally healthy perspectives that are opposed by the unhealthy emotional state of churches and members.
He studied theology and was a practicing pastor for fifteen years, nine of which he spent as youth director at his local conference. Paul developed quality leadership in the community during his time as a pastor, and has also developed a wide spread of influence. He also studied a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1995 and since then has continued to practice, even whilst lecturing at Avondale in counselling. He values emotional health in his students, families, marriages and church members. Paul is a passionate snow-skier who also enjoys bike riding and gourmet cooking.
