Employment Information Officer
The Employment Information Officer (EIO) at Student Services is available to help students to find work on or off campus.
For on campus work, the student work program provides a credit against fees payable in exchange for work. Work departments providing student labour include: auditorium, swimming pool, cafeteria, campus, cleaning, land management, library, maintenance, residence halls, marketing and public relations, and some academic faculties.
Work opportunities are limited and students may not always obtain employment.
Note: As of April 26 2008, International students are automatically granted Permission to Work with their visa. However, they still need to apply for a tax file number (TFN) before they will be able to work. A tax file number may be obtained by visiting the
Australian Taxation Office(ATO) website.
