Heritage and Special Collections

The Heritage Collection was begun in 1974 with the intention of collecting material which records the origins, progress and activities of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

This collection includes:

Documents:	church records/bulletins, letters, reports, minutes, biographies, stories, paper clippings, sermon notes/research, etc.
Films:	home movies, evangelistic and mission, short features, etc.
Photographs:	buildings, events, places, people, etc.
Charts:	evangelistic, Bible, MV, Pathfinders etc.
Manuscripts:	books, pamphlets and serials which are listed in the Avondale University Library Catalogue.
Models and artifacts:	clothing, gowns, buildings, projectors, nails, tiles etc.
Videos:	college and division productions.

The Special Collection, also housed in the Hon Heritage Room, was established to collect materials considered to be historically significant but not related to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific. It mainly includes books which are listed in the Avondale University Library Catalogue.
