Wellbeing: Counselling and Equity and Disability Services

Counselling

Students and staff members can access free confidential counselling to discuss personal or study-related issues.

Equity and Disability

We help students and staff members who have a disability or medical condition develop and reach their potential. Our aim is to ensure full participation in a program of study or the workplace by providing support, reasonable adjustments and advice in a caring Christian manner.

As part of the Equity and Disability Unit, we are also here to hear concerns regarding any unfair or discriminatory remarks or actions. In doing so, situations can be resolved and dealt with allowing our Avondale community to grow in true Christian love and grace.

Who can use our services?

  • Staff and students of Avondale University, who are affected by a disability or medical condition.
  • Those with difficulties with vision or hearing, emotional health, learning, physical restrictions, motor sensory and general health issues.
