If you have ever crossed paths with the Beaden’s, you’ll know they are kind, generous, people loving humans, and the youngest of the six children, Anna, is no exception. A teacher and musician, Anna embodies service.
Arriving at Avondale in two thousand and twelve, Anna chose to pursue a career in teaching after initially considering engineering. A recipient of a scholarship, Anna thrived in Avondale’s spiritually enriching environment, actively participating in student ministries and eventually leading the Student Associated Ministries team.
Anna’s commitment to service was evident early on. A memorable experience for her was the two thousand and thirteen Ministry of Teaching Overseas trip in Nepal, which had a profound impact on her worldview. “We felt so connected to each other and the culture around us,” Anna recollects. That year, Anna also launched her music career, releasing her debut EP Simple Joys.
In two thousand and fifteen Anna graduated with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching, and began teaching at Darling Downs Adventist College, where she taught Bible, Math, Music, and Drama. In two thousand and nineteen she married Mitch Lindbeck, and they set off to serve at Big Lake summer camps in the US. The same year she also completed her ‘Coast to Coast’ music tour across the US.
For the last five years Anna has taught throughout Adventist, independent and public schools. In this time, she has also taken time off to expand her music career and travel; another opportunity to serve and connect with others. In two thousand and twenty-three, Anna performed throughout the US and Europe at various churches and Christian festivals, thanks to her connections in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Anna also took this time to hike throughout Spain and various countries, an activity she loves to do in her down time. Recently Anna has taken up bike riding, and in under two weeks, she is part of a world first – Anna and three other women will cycle from Perth to Sydney on a quad tandem bike fundraising $500,000 for mental health awareness.
This year, Anna also performed at the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a career highlight for her.
Whether in the classroom, on stage, or on the road, Anna lives her life in a holistic way and brings joy and heart to whatever she does. Her passion for music and teaching has translated into a life of serving and connecting with others.

Anna Lindbeck was awarded the 2025 Young Alumni of the Year at Homecoming on August 23.
