Students undertaking placements at the Sydney Adventist Hospital and studying through Avondale University's Wahroonga Campus will soon have access to purpose-built accommodation, with The Quarters set to officially open at Wahroonga Estate on 20 August.
Located at 3 Ludowici Way, the new facility offers fully furnished serviced apartments, dedicated student accommodation and longer-term leasing options, along with shared common spaces, Wi-Fi and flexible stay arrangements. It's designed to serve a wide mix of guests, from Avondale students on clinical placement to visiting healthcare professionals, ministry personnel, conference attendees and families, all close to the health, education and ministry precinct surrounding the SAN.

For Avondale students completing placements, professional development or practical learning within the Sydney Adventist Hospital precinct, the facility is designed to remove one of the more practical barriers to study away from home. Division Property Manager Lorin Bradford says, “The Quarters reflects our commitment to supporting education, healthcare and ministry through practical infrastructure that removes barriers and creates opportunities. For students undertaking placements at the SAN or studying through Avondale University’s Wahroonga Campus, access to quality accommodation can make a significant difference to their learning experience and future service.”
Chief Students and Engagement Officer Kalvin Dever says, “Facilities such as The Quarters help create greater accessibility for students undertaking placements and learning experiences at the SAN, while providing a supportive environment that contributes positively to the student experience. Having quality accommodation available close to key education and healthcare settings enables students to focus on their learning, professional development and future service.”

Facility Manager Mykelin Lizano says, “The Quarters has been created to provide more than accommodation. It is a place where students, guests and visiting professionals can feel welcomed, supported and connected during their time away from home.”
The Quarters adds to a growing footprint of accommodation supporting Avondale students and staff linked to education and healthcare opportunities across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, and reflects Division Property's ongoing work delivering well-managed, mission-aligned facilities for the Church and its institutions.
