I Hate My Job!

Does your job suck? Do you hate your boss? So that was the opening two sentences of an article sent to me by a good friend recently. The article is all about making your work more meaningful, and is by Dr Jenny Brockis (read it here), and is well worth the full read.

Using some great examples, Dr Brockis provides a framework for meaning at work, and gives some great tips, which should be read in full, but in summary point form are:

  1. Choose how you want to show up
  2. Show you care
  3. Reflect on how work could work better
  4. Consider the alternatives
  5. Know what’s important to you

I would recommend reading the article in full to get the benefit of the context of these, and hopefully you will be able to enjoy a more meaningful working experience.
