Cultural Night 2026 brought together more than 350 students, staff and community members for an evening celebrating the rich diversity of Avondale's university community. Attendees enjoyed cultural performances, interactive activities and a variety of international cuisine from eight food stalls. Organised by Cultural Leader Azalea Davis and Student President Michaela Koroitamana, the event showcased the dedication and leadership of student organisers and performers alike. The auditorium came alive with performances representing cultures from Africa, South America, Tonga, Indigenous Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji, the Philippines, Vietnam and Papua New Guinea. More than 60 students participated, spending months preparing to share their talents and cultural heritage. Cultural Night highlighted the strength of our multicultural community, creating opportunities for connection, celebration and learning across cultures.
