“Uplifting and exciting”

The Welcome Home! concert [May 31, 2014] celebrated different musical genres and showcased the splendid work of the staff members and the students of Avondale Conservatorium. Beethoven’s Choral Fantasia was an inspired piece of programming. Pianist Claire Howard Race’s performance: superb. The piano responded to her playing displaying the delicacy or fullness of sound and dynamic range of which it is now capable. Avondale Chamber Orchestra and Avondale Singers played and sang with energy and discipline under your direction. We found the whole performance uplifting and exciting.
