Am I eligible?

Completing Year 12 in 2024; and
Eligible for a High School Certificate, International Baccalaureate, or an interstate equivalent from an Australian high school; and
Eligible for an ATAR; and
Able to demonstrate an average percentage mark of no less than 70% (or a B-Grade average) across all subjects in Year 11.
Applying for an Undergraduate Degree
Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, permanent humanitarian visa-holder, or New Zealand citizen.

How to apply?

1. Register for Early Entry →

2. Click the application link in your registration confirmation email

3. Upload your Year 11 final year results in your application.**

4. Submit your Early Entry application.
**Results are required for every subject as a percentage mark or a grade - we do not accept ranks. We will not assess VET subjects.

NSW Student eRecords are accepted if they accompany your Year 11 school report. Student eRecords on their own are not sufficient.

What happens next?

When you apply to study for Early Entry, you will receive an email confirming your submission. The email will include your application details (the course, campus, and attendance mode) and your unique Avondale ID number.

After applications for Early Entry close, your application will be assessed and you will receive an email with the outcome on 3 September 2024. We will ask you to follow up on the specific admission requirements for your course (if applicable).

If your application for Early Entry is unsuccessful, don't worry! You still have the opportunity to gain entry into your chosen degree by obtaining the minimum ATAR for the course. Or you may be considered for entry through one of our pathways.

Your Offer

If you meet all the entry requirements, you will receive an early offer, securing your place at Avondale before sitting your final exams!

Important 2024 Dates

Applications Open: 8 April
Offer Released: From September 3 through to 5 December, 2024.
Applications close: 3 December. Offers must be accepted to be eligible to receive scholarship (Early Entry Offer Scholarship).

Early Entry Offer Terms & Conditions

1. Completing Year 12 in 2024 and eligible for an ATAR
2. Year 11 marks must be no less than 70% or B grade average across all subjects
3. Supply year 12 number plus UAC pin (NSW students)
4. Applications MUST be completed directly through Avondale University
5. Early entry offers are made to eligible applicants who have indicated their intent to complete the HSC and are studying to achieve an ATAR (or equivalent in states other than NSW) in the same year as the early entry application. Verification of achieving an ATAR will be completed by Avondale University admissions staff once ATAR results have been released from 18 December 2024. Low ATAR results will not affect the outcome of an offer. In the instance an applicant does not achieve an ATAR, details of alternative entry options will be communicated to the applicant.

*$2000 Scholarship Terms & Conditions

1. Available for Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor Teaching (Primary or Secondary), Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Ministry and Theology.
2. Scholarship will be used for tuition costs
3. Available to on-campus and distance students
4. Secondary priority given based on application date
5. Enrol as a full-time student
6. Maintain full-time enrolment
7. Scholarship will be applied to tuition after Census date
8. A total of 60 scholarships available
9. Applicants need to provide a school photo that can be used for promotional purposes for successful recipients
