Avondale University has two campuses, both located in New South Wales, Australia.
The Lake Macquarie Campus is Avondale’s largest and oldest campus located an hour north of Sydney. Established in 1897, the Lake Macquarie campus is part of the Avondale estate in Cooranbong, 10 minutes from the nearby town of Morisset. With picturesque surroundings, both historic and modern learning facilities and supportive lecturers, the campus offers an ideal learning and living environment.
Avondale offers a range of support, health and recreational services to both on and off campus students. Along with accommodation, food outlets and on campus parking options, the Lake Macquarie campus also boasts a variety of sporting clubs and fitness facilities which offer discounted student rates. The Bookshop allow students to purchase supplies, while Avondale Libraries supports students by providing computer labs, printing facilities, and both private and group study rooms. Various student associations and clubs encourage student leadership and involvement throughout the academic year. Avondale is also equipped to assist students with various employment options, IT support and student transport, and offers free emotional and academic counselling services.
The Student Life team on the Lake Macquarie campus provide social, emotional and financial support to Avondale students. Located in College Hall, the office is open during business hours.
The Lake Macquarie campus offers many parking options for students, as highlighted on the campus map. On campus parking is currently free.

The Sydney Campus is home to the School of Nursing and Health and is located on the grounds the Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAH) in Wahroonga. The SAH is the largest private hospital in New South Wales and home to one of Australia’s oldest continuing nursing schools. Avondale’s Nursing Discipline provides high-tech, multi-disciplinary training to students in the new Clinical Education Centre on the hospital grounds. Various student associations and clubs encourage student leadership and involvement throughout the academic year. Located on the upper north shore of one of the world’s most liveable cities, Avondale’s Sydney campus is the ideal learning environment for nursing students.
Our campus tours to either Lake Macquarie or Sydney campuses are for anyone who wants to experience Avondale before beginning their studies, or who have an interest in our campuses.
