This first aid course is designed for educators and education support staff who work within an education and care setting.
Those that successfully complete this course will be provided with Statement of Attainment.
In this course, participants will demonstrate practical resuscitation skills for a minimum of 2 minutes. This will include kneeling on the floor and performing compression movements.
To enrol in this course all participants must have a unique student Identifier (USI).

Upon enrolment, participants must complete the online knowledge learning and pass all related questions. This step is mandatory before the practical assessment date. Failure to complete the knowledge learning and questions beforehand may result in exclusion from the final assessment. Please note that re-booking the final practical assessment may incur an additional cost. Trainers retain the right to refuse participation if the knowledge learning and questions have not been satisfactorily completed prior to the practical component of the course.
To meet all learning conditions participants are required to complete the practical assessments. During the practical assessments participants will need to demonstrate skills and competency in:
1. Responding to an emergency situation
2. Apply appropriate first aid procedures
3. Communicating details of the incident
4. Review the incident
The practical session goes for a 1 day 9am-4pm – this time may vary based on group size.
