A greater vision

What We Offer

We have several activities we offer schools, at no cost, that help students discover who they are, their passions in life, and how they tie into their purpose and profession. These activities include:

MyCareerMatch

A personality test that helps students discover their personality and what careers might be appropriate for them.

Students complete the online survey, and this generates a report for them to keep.

This can be completed by Year 9-12 students.

Camps & Tours

Senior students can immerse themselves in a university experience through our Camps & Tours Program. Avondale offers schools across Australia and New Zealand the option of overnight camps or half-day tours at our Lake Macquarie campus.

University Showcase

This is where we come to the school to provide a 45–50-minute seminar to year 11-12 students on Avondale course offerings and study options.

We focus on how Avondale is unique and the on-campus experience for students.

Career Evenings

We would be more than happy to attend and engage with your school community. Providing insights and answering any questions regarding Avondale University.

Self-exploration Workshop

In-depth, self-exploration/career-coaching workshop exploring values, strengths and passions helping students capture a vision of their purpose. Includes:

1.5 hours/2 periods

Festival of Faith

For one week each semester, Avondale hosts Festival of Faith (FOF) on our Lake Macquarie campus. FOF features nightly talks by powerful and inspirational speakers from around the world as well as other social and relational activities throughout the week. Schools in Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and surrounding areas interested in bringing their students on a day trip are welcome to join in.

Scholarships

Your students can reduce the cost of study by applying for a range of generous scholarships. The scholarships recognise qualities such as achievement, commitment or passion and support equitable access to higher education.

Avondale's Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship is our most prestigious. It is awarded to students from secondary schools in Australia and New Zealand who show transformational qualities throughout their schooling years and significantly contribute to their school, community, family and/or church.

Early Entry

Avondale's Early Entry Program can earn your students an offer into their chosen undergraduate degree before their final exams. Applications open until December 3. Early Entry applicants may also be eligible for an Early Entry $2,000 scholarship*.

Free Accommodation

Students enrolled in full-time bachelor's degrees may be eligible for 18 months free accommodation on our Lake Macquarie campus.
Saving up to $12,000 in value. Places are limited.

7 @ Avondale – Cafeteria and Café

7 at Avondale on the Lake Macquarie campus consists of both a café and cafeteria. It's open to all students, staff, and community members. 7 at Avondale specialises in a range of healthy and delicious food and drinks options on campus.

Full meals are provided through a “buffet style” cafeteria with indoor and outdoor seating options, or alternatively from a café menu including hot and cold beverages, fresh cooked pizzas, and other menu items.
