Preventing Cognitive Decline

Short course live online with Associate Professor Ross Grant

General Overview

Led by biochemical pharmacologist Associate Professor Ross Grant, this innovative, evidence-based program equips participants with a deeper understanding of the biological foundations of brain health, the mechanisms that contribute to cognitive decline, and the powerful role Lifestyle Medicine can play in promoting cognitive resilience and healthy ageing.

Participants will explore how nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management and other evidence-based interventions influence brain function and cognitive health. Designed to be scientifically rigorous yet highly accessible, the program translates complex research into practical strategies that health professionals can confidently apply to support their patients and clients in optimising brain health and reducing the risk of cognitive decline.

Course Essentials

Duration: 1.5 hours every Monday evening for 8 weeks
Dates: Oct 26; Nov 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Dec 7 & 14
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 pm AEDT
Location: Live via Zoom, hosted by Avondale University

Assessment: Learning self-check quizzes for each topic (no formal assessments)
