Willie is a pastor and PhD candidate at Avondale University, passionate about disciple-making and cross-cultural ministry. His research explores the intersection of theology, culture, and practice by developing a practical framework for adaptive discipleship that integrates the lived migration experiences of I-Kiribati Christians in New Zealand with wider literature on discipleship and adaptation. Drawing on more than thirteen years of pastoral and departmental leadership, Willie brings rich practical insight to his academic work. Alongside his research, Willie serves as a ministerial secretary in the North Island of New Zealand, equipping pastors and emerging leaders in their ministry practice.
