Vice Chancellor's Scholarship

The Vice Chancellor's Scholarship is our most valued scholarship. It is awarded to students from secondary schools in Australia and New Zealand who demonstrate transformational qualities throughout their schooling years and significantly contribute to their school, community, family and/or church.

The student’s application should address several key areas that reflect both Avondale’s Christian values and the applicant’s personal character, leadership, and aspirations. In approximately two pages, students are asked to provide examples demonstrating their commitment to excellence, spiritual growth, personal wellbeing, integrity, and service to others. They should also describe ways they have positively influenced those around them in settings such as their school, community, family, or church. In addition, applicants outline their intended course of study at Avondale and explain how this pathway will support their future career and enable them to make a meaningful contribution to their community. Finally, students reflect on their involvement in school life, including their contributions to the school community and any academic achievements, awards, or recognitions they have received.
