What to expect at Lake Mac

Join us for the Welcome to Avondale program on Monday, 24th February, starting at 9:00 am in University Church as part of our Welcome Day. Enjoy a free lunch, connect with your course convenors and lecturers, and explore our beautiful campus with tours beginning at 1:30pm. Check the What's happening Schedule below for more information on social events happening each evening during Welcome Week.

Enroll in First-Aid/CPR

Avondale University invites all students to participate in a comprehensive First Aid/CPR course on 28th February. Gain essential lifesaving skills and certification.

What to expect at Sydney

The Avondale School of Nursing and Health are pleased to welcome all newly enrolled Bachelor of Nursing students to our Sydney Campus on Monday 24th February starting at 10AM. You will get a chance to meet some of our key support staff and be given a tour of the campus, library and the Sydney Adventist Hospital. There will be time for introductions to our student nurse association representatives and your fellow classmates. During this orientation session a demonstration of  our Learning Management System (Moodle) will be given and clinical compliance requirements will be briefly discussed. IT support will also be available on the day. We are looking forward to meeting you all as you start your learning journey.

What to expect Online

For our distance and online students, the Welcome to Avondale program and essential academic success sessions will be livestreamed on Avondale’s YouTube channel.
This program will provide valuable information about classes, study resources, and how to access key information for a successful academic journey. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet your course convenor via Zoom, where you can ask any questions you may have. Further details and additional resources can be found on Moodle.

Zoom Check-In 

Want to meet & stay connected with other students who are studying online (Outside of your lecturers)? Join us every fortnight via zoom (during semester only) on Monday's 7-8pm. These sessions will give you tools as you study to make sure that you are well supported through your studies.
